PRP treatment, also known as ‘vampire treatment’ is natural skin rejuvenating method using growing factors from blood plasma.

The treatment consists in using plasma part that contains high thrombocyte concentration with natural proteins which are most important in the healing and regenerative process. PRP blood plasma treatment is a procedure when thrombocytes rich in growing factors are extracted from blood, as they have strong effects in rejuvenation, regeneration and revitalization of skin. It is used for rejuvenation, fine line and wrinkles correction, hair growth boost, scar and pigmentation reduction, face volume and firmnes. 

Preparation

Before the treatment, blood is extracted and goes through a preparation process to be injected. The treated region is disinfected and anesthetized with topical anesthesia – in cream.

Procedure

After processing, blood is injected in face with a thin needle and the procedure is painless.

Recovery and results

There is no special recovery needed. Temporary redness and bruises on injected spots are possible in rare cases. The firmness effect is immediately visible, particularly in a 3 weeks period. For rejuvenation it is necessary to do 3 treatments with one month pause between each one, and afterwards annual maintenance.

Possible complications

Given that natural, patient’s own blood is used as a filler, there is no risk of allergic reaction. Besides the temporary redness and irritation on treated spots, there are no other complications. PRP is not suitable and applicable in patients suffering from acne, skin conditions, thrombocyte disorders or severe illness.
