Liposculpture is an aesthetic procedure in which patients own fat tissue is collected from body parts with fat excess (such as hips, thighs, stomach) and transferred to areas in need of correction – in most cases checks, lips and wrinkle filling. During face liposculpture, it is possible to make a simultaneous neck and décolletage liposculpture and restore firmness, symmetry and volume to these parts as well. This procedure can be done with patients with visible aging signs: loose skin, tone and contour loss, face asymmetry, deep folds around the nose and lips augmentation and volume enhancement in patients who do not like fillers or find them inefficient.
There is no need for hospitalization or special preparations for the liposculpture procedure. Before the intervention, treated areas will be disinfected and anesthetized with topical anesthesia – in cream.As patient’s fat is aspirated, it goes through a preparation process before being injected back in desired areas.
The procedure usually lasts 30-45 minutes in local anesthesia. The liposuction procedure collects fat from areas with excess of fat (usually under the chin, thighs or stomach) and after the preparation process, fat is injected subcutaneously in the desired area.
Face liposculpture procedure does not require hospitalization, and the patient can go home to rest immediately after the procedure and continue with his usual daily activities the following day. It is important to limit face movements in the next 10 days after the procedure. Swelling and bruises are temporary and will disappear in 10 days. Final results are visible within a few weeks and depending of the resorption level, sometimes it is necessary to repeat the procedure to obtain the desired effect.
Possible complications
Temporary numbness is a rare consequence, and in extremely rare cases an infection may occur.
