3D (Meso, PDO) threads

This popular non-surgical lifting method uses bio-degradable threads that are placed subcutaneously in a net shape, forming from the inside, a lifting effect to the sunken skin. They can be placed in different subcutaneous layers, in all directions, making them an ideal procedure to create a lifting effect to sunken skin without compromising smoothness and risking skin gathering. This procedure can be used to lift the upper, middle and lower face parts, combining it successfully with other rejuvenating techniques. Such threads tone the skin and remove the apparent excessive skin due to strong collagen boosting effect.

Preparation

Before the procedure, treated area is disinfected and anesthetized with topical anesthesia – in cream.

Procedure

Threads are places with a supple needle which conduct threads in different skin layers and directions in order to create a net shape support for dropped facial skin. The whole procedure is entirely pain free.

Recovery and results

During the few days following the procedure, the patient should avoid hard physical activities, strong face movements, harsh moves as well as sunbathing and solarium. The result can be seen immediately, and during the next 2 months new collagen fibers will be formed around the inserted threads, thus making the effect permanent and long lasting until the repeated treatment, which in most cases is necessary after 2 years.

Possible complications

The most common are temporary swelling, redness and bruises. Further complications can be avoided if the procedure is done by an experienced physician.
